Another stupid US lawsuit

Apple sued over iPod hearing risks

This lawsuit is about "a Louisiana man has filed a lawsuit against Apple, complaining that the iPod can cause hearing loss."

This sounds reasonable, until u hear the reasons for the complain:

According to the suit, the iPod can be pumped up to over 115 decibels, a level that can damage hearing, and the audio players are "inherently defective in design and are not sufficiently adorned with adequate warnings."
(Quote from Engaget.)

Oh, come on, you gonna sue Apple just becuz some stupid pea-brain cant control themselves to turn down the volume of the iPod? Why dont you just sue companies that make stoves for putting your hand on the stove and getting it burnt? How's that for a complaint?

But who knows, it's the US. Anything can happen. Remember the famous lawsuit on someone suing McDonald's for pouring hot coffee onto herself and getting burnt? I just still cannot believe the court actually punishes companies for their consumers' stupid mistakes...

Did I tell you a lawsuit regarding insurance of cigar? That is the most ridiculous case that I have ever heard.
