First lecture

Well, I have to get back to work already as of today. Since my prof is still away for a conference, I had to take over the first lecture of this term for him.

It's always fun to talk about stuff to try to motivate people in the class. Since it is a design course that I am TAing, today's task for Adam and I for these 4th yr comp eng students is to introduce some project topics and motivate them to start generating their own ideas.

For people who know me, I am always a good BS guy. So, I was able to BS stuff about new technologies in comp eng for a full hr this morning, even though I was not completely awake from the holiday lag. The good thing is that the students actually understood most of my BS, and that actually stir up their interests in the class! Nice!

Well, hope it will be fun to TA this term (this is the same as hoping there are no extremely poor student, who will ask questions like why 1 + 1 = 10 in binary)
