The car pool lane is now opened

The car pool lanes between 401 and markham on 404 and on 403 between QEW and 401 are opened as of today.

Lots of ppl think it's a good idea, since it should speed commute a little bit, (I am one of those ppl), but there are also concerns too.

Apparently, having a car pool lane, or high occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane can bring more accidents, which incur more fatal injuries due to the high occupancy in the vehicle (naming, one car crash, more ppl can be hurt). I never even though of that. Well, judging from how bad canadian drivers are, i understand why this could be a big concern for a lot of ppl...

(BTW, Kan, there are two sections of HOV. One on 404, and one on 403. the one on 404 is between 401 and markham!)
