Pakistani girl-geek is one of world's youngest MSFT experts

Just read this news about a girl who obtained the Microsoft Certificate at the age of 9, becoming the youngest Microsoft expect in the world.

Doesn't that makes you wonder? Is it the girl who is really smart, or is it just that the certificate is so easy to get? even a 9-yr-old girl can get it? And also, why would a girl at that age go all the way to get that certificate anyway? It's not like Bill Gates is every gonna hire her at that age?!

Another interesting thing about this news is that it makes me wonder how common is Microsoft's stuff are to the world. Even a 9-yr-old girl in Pakistan can gain so much knowledge about it. Just come to think of it: What if the girl was given a Linux box, or a copy of Tiger to start with, would she be interested in taking the Microsoft exam anymore?

I am not saying Microsoft is all bad. I still love to use Visio and Powerpoint from time to time. I just recommand friends around me to, if you have a chance, dont hesitate to learn a different OS. It's not that scary!
